Quote: It honestly had nothing to to with my flip-flops. It was because my toenails were painted alternating shades of salmon and sea foam.

Most women can’t grow a full beard. And that sucks. And I’m sorry.
It's very rare for me to go full OOfff on someone, and I'm surprised she didn't jump on this, but it says a lot about you that the biggest insult you could come up for me is to insinuate I'm a chick. That's a slap in the face to the fine female aviators who come to work every day and put up with all us neanderthals.

Also I still think pilots with beards is asinine. We aren't steamer captains. Unfortunately as soon as it's allowed most "bearded" pilots will go with a permanent 2 day scruff that looks like you just came off a bender, or a Fu Manchu and mouth beard that looks like you're riding with The Outlaws on your off days, not a well manicured Hemingway that exudes steamer captain experience. Look the way the public expects you to and inspire their confidence. Our industry already has enough image problems without this. I'll keep shaving every day thanks.

And crazy hair, severely wrinkled shirts, and looking all round scruffy. PAX may look like that, but pilots looking like that do not endear confidence and professionalism.

Yes. Correct. Nice job.

I fully agree with everything said here. I too will continue to clean shave and iron my uniform.

Strange that you would assume the worst out of your professional peers. We haven’t had any issues with facial hair other than there being a lot more with beards during COVID. It’s a total non issue.

Facial hair doesn’t have the same stigma it used to have. Passengers don’t care if you have a beard or not. Keep it neat and nobody cares.

I had a well groomed legit beard at my current airline that was well maintained. I liked it and wish I still had it. Even carried a beard trimmer on trips. I also wear clothes that fit and iron them. To each their own. Never had to ask for a jumpseat with it but definitely got some funny looks walking through the terminal from other pilots. Passengers didn't seem to notice or care.

the best part of this is that you a) involve me for no reason at all and b) have been intentionally misgendering me for months

About the best reply to Margaritas post that could have been made. His white knighting post was a tad pathetic.

Oh. You're not female? I sincerely thought you were. Sorry if I was mistaken.

But way to yet again play a victim card. That's really all you've got here. Your posts are extremely boring, even on your other 3 profiles. Get new material.
