Quote: Almost every single hotel we stay in must be about to lose its brand affiliation. I often ask myself "how in the heck is this place still a _________ (Marriott, Sheraton, etc.)". The hotels here are consistently terrible. Definitely much worse than those in my experience at a regional.
Well said. Chipped paint, dirty carpets, old loud AC units etc. The locations are bad systemwide. Combine that with poor van service and terrible locations and you have effectively sucked all the glamour out of being an airline pilot.

It's about time we filed a grievance. I'd say the union disagrees with every hotel selection unless AA, United or Delta crew stays at the same place.

ALPA just filed one. I received the email from the union yesterday.

Quote: All the same. All terrible. Our sad pilot group rationalizes our hotels and tolerates them.

You must be one of the very macho cool pilots that tells the Company off! I really want to hang out with you. Rationalizations like the one above about our pilot group as a whole is lame at best!

Don't waste your time.
That's the same one that wanted to have someone's baby on here a week or so ago.

If your unhappy Clearcreek and want to ***** that's your business. Don't come on the board and bash an entire pilot group with falsehoods.
The F9 pilot group doesn't "rationalize" anything regarding hotels. Hotels need to be addressed and steps are being taken by the union.

In fact the Hotel Committee Chairman just thanked THE PILOT GROUP for all the hotel complaint and grievance dispute forms over our CBA being violated regarding hotels. Then again later in the news letter sent to us stated our active engagement on the subject hasn't gone unnoticed.

Totally agree with this! 100% accurate.

Most likely typed while waiting on the curb for the van. Enjoy your crummy overnight in a crummy hotel.

Let's talk about the multiple crews that stayed in the Phoenix hotel that had NO RUNNING WATER! We had multiple pilots and flight attendants that stayed there for 2 days and not a single person refused the hotel or even wrote the hotel committee. Trenton has nowhere to eat. Nowhere.

That's just two junk hotels I can think of. The system is riddled with them. The hotel restaraunt or a gas station are often your two options. Maybe that's why you have a gut...

You really are reading impaired.
First you completely disregard the latest release by the Hotel Committee by spewing garbage on here. Next you disregard the posts above. It has to be a reading issue.
I stated above hotels needed to be addressed and our union has taken the necessary steps.

Ah, TTN. "B...B...But they are so nice to us there!" They're probably nice to us since they know they're a contractually non-compliant hotel. I can't think of any eating establishments within a 'safe 5-minute walk' of TTN. Or PHL for that matter. Or PHX. Or IND. And no, the hotel bar doesn't count.
