Almost every single hotel we stay in must be about to lose its brand affiliation. I often ask myself "how in the heck is this place still a _________ (Marriott, Sheraton, etc.)". The hotels here are consistently terrible. Definitely much worse than those in my experience at a regional.

We aren't approving them. Company is unilaterally imposing hotel changes, violating the contract. Hence the 'class action' grievance filed a few days ago.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Trenton. There's nothing within a 1-1/4 mile walk of this place to get any food. Sometimes the van is available to shuttle, sometimes it's not. Sometimes they offer to stop at the sub shop on the way from the airport, sometimes they won't. Nice enough place, but it's in the middle of freaking nowhere.

If you are stuck in Trenton and looking for a somewhat healthy eating option, there is a hospital nearby that has a cafeteria. Not that this makes the hotel acceptable, but until we get a better hotel for this layover, something to consider.

The LGA hotel is close enough to Rikers we can try some prison food too. Anyone know how long the hotel arbitration is gonna take? Will it be fast tracked?
