That's why Omni's initial response seems logical to me. Having said that, they also make mistakes, they make them often and they make many of them.
I saw that you've created a different application and I'm glad it worked out. Otherwise my advice would've been to ask a sponsor (if you have one) to inquire on your behalf or to attend a job seminar where you can ask questions yourself.

Like I said, I was able to apply and now it's just to continue what I am doing and hopefully I get a call. No harm, No foul!!
