I recommend opening it, copy and paste it into a word doc, complete the information and then copy and paste back to the web form.

I recently applied and status is "active". What are the subsequent steps in the process (besides the wait) should one be lucky enough to move forward?
Can you recommend anything that could possibly enhance the active status?

Did your status go Active as soon as you applied?
I've applied and it has been On File. Had a friend recommend me from the inside and it's still On File. Going to the job fair next and hoping to get the Active status and following steps.
