Application Help

Why the somewhat angry response? I'm sure Omni meant well and his/her reasoning is actually quite logical..
This company tracks EVERYTHING! and they keep those files for EVER!
We pretty much invented the NSA so if someone leaves on bad terms they will know, sooner or later.
That's why Omni's initial response seems logical to me. Having said that, they also make mistakes, they make them often and they make many of them.
I saw that you've created a different application and I'm glad it worked out. Otherwise my advice would've been to ask a sponsor (if you have one) to inquire on your behalf or to attend a job seminar where you can ask questions yourself.
Good luck to you, hope you'll get a call soon.

Well, technically we haven't been known as United Parcel Service for years. Just like Federal Express changed their brand's name to FedEx we've been known as UPS for quite some time. Not sure if they ever made it official because you can still see the old name here and there..
..and by the way, we don't really work for UPS but rather for a subsidiary of UPS known as UPS Airlines. (Look at your ID just above the word CREW) LOL! Clear as mud?
Here are some other subsidiaries:
The UPS Store
UPS Supply Chain Solutions
UPS Capital
UPS Airlines
UPS Express Critical
UPS Freight
UPS Logistics
UPS Mail Innovations
UPS Professional Solutions
UPS i-parcel
_____
From the Online Application:
"UPS operates one of the world's largest airlines serving over 220 countries and territories worldwide. UPS delivers 15.8 million packages and documents daily. The company's extensive air network includes international air hubs in Cologne/Bonn, Germany; Hamilton, Ontario in Canada; and in the Asia Pacific region Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong; Within the U.S. Miami, FL serving Latin America and the largest air hub UPS Worldport in Louisville, Kentucky, also the headquarters for UPS Airlines. Crew domiciles include Louisville; Ontario, CA; Miami, FL; and Anchorage AK.

I heard that you guys actually work for United Parcel Service Co. (UPSCO)
Big UPS is actually United Parcel Service of America.

Application Help
I applied and have a "On File" status. I know from reading various posts that there are many reasons why this happens and that a Job Fair or Recommendation can do the trick. On my application I put that I could not start until Feb18. I'm about to have my buddy put in the recommendation. Do you think that because of my start date they will not act on it and I should wait until next year to have him recommend me or would they interview someone this year even if they couldn't start until next year?
Thanks ahead of time!

Boiler is usually up-to-date on such details, try a PM maybe?
Personally I'm leaning toward a No for this question. ATP superseds a commercial license. ..and you must have an instrument rating to hold an ATP.
So you might be a single-engine, instrument rated commercial pilot. However, as far as multi - you're "just" an ATP.
