I will happily accept that. It's not hard to turn the Flt Intercom down.

Yep, I fear guys not using it because “that’s not how we used to do it”

There are some common counties that go along with this. I.E. moving the microphone away from your face as you’re jamming crackers and cheese from your scooby down your gullet. I will happily welcome this and embrace it, my long term hearing will certainly appreciate it. I hope the crew force at large will realize how nice this will be in the long run.

Wondering what are the chances of this being a selectable PTT mic/ hot mic or hot mic only?? ( i know, not good, but i guess i'll be happy with a hot mic.

Looking at adding a mic to my QC25 to reduce exposure to aircraft equipped headset and curious if anyone has any reviews/experience with add on mics.

I know UFlymike is one of the originals but a lot of negative reviews with the new Harmony version. I know a couple options are the NFlightMic Nomad, Crystal Mic Pro and AVMike. Opinions?

I have a harmony. After a few months, I had to return it for repair. But since then, I’ve had no problems. I’ve had it since it first came out. But I don’t use it all the time anymore, since I’ve been here. In fact when I do use it, it’s more for watching movies on a DH more than anything else. But I’m happy with it.

I really don't make a habit of disparaging people, but I will do so for the owner of NflightMic. Without going into detail, I would suggest not supporting their business. Also, last time I looked the microphone is held on with some Velcro to the headset and looked really janky.
I will however happily suggest the Avee microphone kit. Made by a Norwegian company that produces add ons for a few headsets including the QC25 and 35. Mine has lasted for several years and the fit and finish is bar none. Several people have asked me which model Bose aviation headset I was wearing.

Great warranty/customer service as well, they have sent me a cord free of charge when I stupidly cut it through my own fault.

Have a Nflight nic I used god GA, it’s not a TSO model so I don’t use it at work. It is a Velcro like material that holds it onto the headset. It worked fine, no problems. It will be what my fiancé uses if/when I ever fly GA again.

I now use a Bose A20. Pricey but nice. Works good for DH’ing and JS’ing In back as you can Bluetooth (if you buy the Bluetooth version) to your iDevice of choice.

BOSE QC-35 with U-FlyMike setup has my vote.

Great ANR, and excellent when you use the intercom switch in 75/76, maybe I would suspect same for other fleets? Then take the mic off for deadheads when listening to music, watching Netflix, etc...

I've happened to find rubber bands on the comm panel holding the intercom switch on, creating a true intercom. I didn't look closely, but maybe they were BOEING rubber bands?
