And don’t forget the huge bonus Franke’s getting with the new tax law. And we dare to ask for average? Based on the changed environment our ask is automatically too low. It’s retarded.

I'm way too old to be a snowflake, but a bit of education is in order:

Mental Retardation is a medical condition and using it as a slur against the FAPA (I think that is the union) is actually unfair to people who actually have the affliction, many of whom are able to live quite productive lives with their own individual talents.

The FAPA is supposed to be learned and educated on the ways of pilot negotiations and not impaired by an extra chromosone, therefore for them to make an gross error in negotiations is more likely ignorant, and/or malpractice but not medically explained.

FAPA? What are you talking about? “It’s retarded” is in reference to the bonus Franke received with the new tax law in addition to these fantastic business conditions we are in. Our ask is therefore notched down a level. That’s what is retarded. BTW, retarded has more than one meaning, Just ask Airbus (except they dropped the -ed). I’m pretty darn liberal but come on, this is ridiculous.

I noticed your user name has luv in it. If you fly for southwest you might not understand the Airbus reference. Airbus announces “RETARD, RETARD” on every landing for the pilot to bring the thrust levers to idle.

What’s retarded is you try to stand up for those who can’t and you promptly made 2 stand out grammar errors and threw in a run on sentence for good measure... atta way

Well, this has gone off the rails...

What were we talking about? Oh yeah, at this point our future is in the hands of the NMB. We enter the wait and see phase

Wait, before we get back on track....

Was I supposed to swear allegiance to the ULCC model in ground school, or? . . .

Nevermind, I'll check Comply.

We were discussing the futile attempt of making a career at this ridiculous airline and not sugar-coating for those looking to come here. Our union can’t say it directly but I can... Under most (not all) circumstances you are an idiot if you’re trying to come here. If we didn’t have a training contract, I’d say “welcome aboard, you have your type rating and I hope you’re gone within 90 days!” But that isn’t the reality, you’re stuck at this crap-hole for 2 years unless you want to pay on that contract and subsidize the next sucker’s training that walks through the door. Read the union website, take in the facts, don’t chase the rainbow at Frontier.

Does anyone know if they have actually pursued collecting the training contract from those who left in their first year or two?

I was wondering the same thing.

I guess a more pertinent question might be - has there been a single person who was hired by Frontier that was offered an interview and job at one of the Big 3 or SW within that 2 years?

If not, that may be VERY telling....
