It certainly does seem that ERJ expansion is the current trend and the probable future. I have heard others recommend staying away from operators that exclusively fly 50 seaters. SkyWest investor updates explicitly say they are actively reducing the number of 50 seaters that they operate, much of that has been through the XJet name but clearly they hurt the bottom line. I don't think 50 seaters provide the customer experience that the mainlines would like to portray either.
“SkyWest investors”. That’s referring to SkyWest Inc.. ExpressJet side is down 50 seaters. SkyWest side is up.. theare
Paid off and in very high demand. But also adding to long term future with new E175’s. (Yes the 200’s are in hot demand. 6 new eas citys to start and look at AS wanting 7 to fly and cover QX. Don’t think that will stop anytime soon..)

Any word on how many hours reserves are flying in LA?

Help me understand this. What is HR's incentive to steer new FOs to the CRJ?

Because we are always short staffed on the ERJ. Also, if we finally get the Delta 175 benefits figured out there will be a long line of people ready to make the move from th crj

I'm still confused. If they are short staffed, wouldn't HR want to direct new hires towards the ERJ?

I'm sorry that was a typo on my part. Short staffed on the CRJ**
They would likely be encouraging people to go to the CRJ since that's where we seem to have the staffing issues.

The preference for new hires to go to the CRJ is starting to wane with the 45 new ERJs... will probably be evenly split going forward.

Half of the ERJs announced for DL will be plying the east coast... no firm base for them yet.

Looking at applying to SkyWest in early 2018. If made an offer, could I defer my start date to sometime in say May? (Mil/Family Commitments). Also, how long would I have to wait to be LAX based? Thanks in advance guys.
