Got a call for an interview, single engine pilot, only thing they mentioned was 2-3 week mapping trips. Anybody have info on the position? Based in Jacksonville, FL.
Cheers

They bought out Control Cam which was formally Martech. You may be able to find some more information if you search those. Not sure about the new parent company. They're based out of KCRG and fly 210's. That's about all I know. Good luck.

I seem to recall they have rotations, 3-4 weeks on average and then you go home for a bit, then fly you back out to pick up a plane and continue survey missions.

Above comments are pretty spot on. They seem to care about the pilots and it is a good opportunity to build time. Pay is about on par with all the other photo companies from what I've seen.

BTW, sent you a second message about time building. I mis-typed my email in the first one. Not sure if you're still interested if you got a job :-). Good luck.

Regarding Geomni flight ops...
Hey, all. Just a quick note to say THANK YOU for the comments, and add a clarifier about our targeted mission profiles. We have ops out of about a dozen geographically distributed locations now, and will continue to add to the mix. We aim to have our flight crews home as many nights as possible, and focus on ops within a few hundred nm from their base, in the medium term. While we have dozens of light twins and singles common in the remote sensing industry, we are also onboarding high volumes of brand new Tecnam twins - with glass cockpits - as part of our drive for efficiency. I have heard that they make pilots share a room and offer hardly any perdiem and that there airplanes are falling apart.

Where did you hear this? Do you know which base this person was from? I just interviewed with them not too long ago. Thanks
