Fortunately, that push appears to have ended a few months ago.

When I clicked on the link it went to a blank page. I see that has now changed.

What was cute about the blank page?

Quote: Any time I see any post by you, I usually take it with a huge grain of salt or ignore it. Rant over. I know I’m not the only pilot that feels this way.

Really...because you are a beacon of mutual respect and integrity. You have some of the most self serving (selfish) views on a few topics presented on APC. No one tells you to leave.

Dissent and opposition are good in that they keep those in power in check.

Do I really have to explain it?

After reading the MEC chairman’s scope update, I don’t understand why we don’t have an agreement. I am actually ****eed at how weak the union’s stance is. I’m now convinced the company doesn’t plan on any expansion outside of the US by planes flown by us.

I still stand that chit chat should be shut down or at least reps shouldn’t be allowed to post there. If it’s that important to say something, reps should send it out to all the dues paying members.

Is it any wonder we don't have an agreement, when our MEC has told Delta management to essentially go F themselves. If I were management, I'd tell the negotiators I'm happy with the current Section 1 rules.

What's their incentive? The partners are cheaper, and we aren't offering anything to motivate them.

Amen. Vote them out if they are only responsive to the fringe element.

And why haven't we heard anything from the MEC about the April 23rd Korean Delta JV statement from the DOT?

If you're surrendering because you don't think we have no leverage then fine. But their table positions are absolutely disgusting. If that's how poor our Section 1 is, then fine, that's on us, and it means we need far better lawyers on our end. It may be something that has to be taken all the way through mediation, perhaps even including a temporary PEB.

Gloopy, totally agree Scope's deficiencies are on us, but your conclusion is way too narrow. It could mean we need better lawyers, or it could mean we already had lawyers that said this was a possible outcome, and we as a pilot group/MEC/NC took the scope we had, with all its risks, because the deal was worth it. (Maybe the value of getting iron clad scope was something the company would never agree on. For example, Im sure the company would end all JVs, if capt pay capped at $125/hr)

Its no different than buying car insurance. 100/300 or 250/500 should be enough, all until you lose control and crash into the Bugatti dealership.

Sometimes things change that we and/or the company couldnt predict. Its not necessarily a lawyer problem.
