True statement. Just finished the entire process and was offered everything but Puerto Rico, the only place I was interested in. I have 1800 hrs TT, 400 of which are in airplanes but only 45 in twins. I thought I was a shoe in because I met the basic qualifications + I’m a veteran, dual rated, and have a 4yr degree from ERAU. When I said I would only take Puerto Rico, I was told they had openings but not for me because “I didn’t have the skill set”. Pretty deceptive if you ask me. I spent 3 to 4 months in their pipeline, $1500 traveling to their appointments + my personal leave time thinking I qualified based on their job posting. Tread with caution. Expensive and potentially very disappointing depending on what you want. At any rate, the airlines are hiring so moving on.
