Quote: Damn, that sucks for 200. Hydration #1 priority in my mind. Probably just store it in my cooler pack with lid on tight.
How about flashlights. You guys carry your own LED for night time preflights, or does the aircraft typically have one?
Youll drink bottles from the airplane, which you will find spots for its storage.
Company will probably have you carry your own although there are flightlights onboard you probly wont be allowed to routinely use

The airplane flashlights are emergency only. Find one you like, get a bigger one that's VERY bright. Smaller flashlight = smaller battery so you'll replace them often if it's bright. I tried LED (too dim) but went back to halogen. Maybe LEDs are brighter now.

Bright is important, if you miss something on the RON walkaround and the flight cancels the next morning it's all on you. The FO in the morning may be able to see much better due to the sun being up.

LED flashlights are great. Small, light, and batteries last long time. Get a brand name (company with a website) greater then 300 lumens. Though 150+lumens is doable

Don't worry, hydration will stop being your #1 priority real quick. Especially once you figure out having to go number one during a flight is not real fun.

This flashlight has been great for me on the road. Super bright 900 lumens, USB rechargeable. I only have to charge it about once or twice per month depending on how much night flying I'm doing. $25 from a decent brand.

Also, a travel sized power-strip/surge protector is handy as well. I don't bring any of the charging bricks for my mobile devices and just plug them all straight into my power strip along with a couple 6' USB cables for adequate reach from the bed/night stand.

I've been using this one: https://www.amazon.com/JOTO-Protecto...to+power+strip It works great after I opened it up and re-soldered a loose wire. Been using it for about 2 years.

Quote: I echo the multi port charger. I got one off amazon that has 3 ports....one of them works as a fast charger for my Samsung phone.

Flew with a captain a few weeks ago that had a battery pack with a solar panel on it. I since got one and just lay it up on the dash. I end a five leg day with EFB, phone and battery all at 100%
Will you post a link to the battery pack with a solar panel?
