Quote: Just says a lot about someone who is supposedly for the pilots, but won’t pay his dues to benefit the whole.

Seems selfish and doesn’t inspire much confidence that this guy is really here to do much more than interrupt progress.

Progress??? Are you serious??? I appreciate they are trying to improve schedules but they still suck. Lots of 11 day off lines that are not commutable for a whole 78 hours credit.

People have tried in the past to be the disruptor. BW is a PRIME example of this. JG is going to be exactly the same if not worse because he clearly has a track record of dedication issues to his Union obligations. BW accomplished nothing and worse he’s leaving with his tail between his legs.

Plenty of people have thought that coming in with a different attitude would change the course of this ship. Unfortunately, the only thing that truly has an impact is dedication and hard work.

**** on BL for the schedules this month if you want, but the strides he is making with the company are magnitudes greater than that of anyone that came before him. BL is the horse I’m betting on to make this place better.

Wish you the best brother, either way hope things improve for PDT and the pilot group soon.

Both seem like great candidates. But from my perspective, only one has gone out of their way to volunteer their free time to improve the QOL of the entire pilot group. Only one of them has produced real results, and this is only the beginning. I think the fact that BL didn't even run but was instead nominated by the pilot group says a lot. He is transparent, communicates with the pilot group, and works hard to make things better for all of us.

[QUOTE=Newstick189;2693189]“Not afraid to say no” no to paying his dues or doing work he volunteered to do. That’s not trolling, that’s fact.

“Not everyone is a fan” of my brand of news sometimes

Is he in good standing now? Are you mad your “how to be an airline pilot book” wasn’t presented to you properly? And timely?

Please.

How bout the people who have run this ****show for decades make one. Like “why our contract is worse than everyone. And how to prosper by it”. They’ve had 20 years to do it. JG been here 2

Why does the union rep come to new hire and scream and yell to call them first when something goes wrong and he’s the first to be a company man on the line.

No real results yet. Sorry. Agree to disagree

Unless a large amount of captains leave for greener pastures, which right now they don't because we have the flow, or every captain's bids to be an fo again because pay agreed qol is so terrible, nothing is going to change dramatically here. Our current management is literally doing everything they can do to make our qol as bad as possible. I swear it is the mission every morning they get up to screw their pilots.

These past two months are historically slow months for flying. The schedules are still bad, now you just fly more (lots of trips start day 1 five legs or day 4 five legs)and get paid roughly the same. Or how about these back to back two day trips so you have to burn a commuter hotel (if you have any left). I know he's trying and maybe he will figure it out for us but right now I'm not impressed.

Also don't you find it odd he didn't even run and then RS says hey guys I'm not running now vote for BL as a write in. I don't know the inner workings of our union by something seems fishy. If he wanted to run he should have tried to get on the ballot.

BL didn't want to be nominated and therefore didn't solicit nominations.. but there is a large group that is going to write him in.

Just remember BL has a good relationship with the company while getting change. That's important. Also your captain rep should be on the phone with the company daily working on grievances, disciplinary actions, scheduling, pay, etc.

BL is here four 1.5 years till flow, and he really cares about the group.

BL stepped up to the plate because he knows exactly what it means if JG gets the nod. Bad news.

If you want someone whose going to barge in thinking he can yell his demands at management and get them to move on these issues, by all means vote for JG. But you clearly don't understand how this company operates and how they will react to that. It will be kind of funny. But mostly sad.

We are all frustrated with this company. They are extremely difficult to deal with, and if it was as simple as yelling at them we wouldn't be in our current situation. You all know by the way I rant on here how much I wish things were different. JG will only impede our extremely slow, hard earned progress. Those of you trying to downplay the gains made by BL simply don't get how this place works.

Don't vote to blow it all up because you're frustrated. JG will come out swinging and will do absolutely nothing but **** them off.
