Quote: Well perhaps it's not the RLA, perhaps it is ALPA that continues to push for a B scale to prop up the senior wide body pay scales at the expense of regional wages. I've been harassed by multiple Delta pilots on the crew bus for getting wage gains because it's hurting their profit sharing checks. Some union camaraderie there. Oh that's right I'm supposed to happily do the same job for half the pay and benefits except unlike previous generations I've had no real career progression for the sacrifice so I push for equal pay and benefits and get called every name in the book..... I bet you hate the 14th and (probably soon to be 28th) amendments to the Constitution as well.
Exactly! Very well said.

This sounds made up. Half of the Delta pilots I talk to don't even know what Endeavor is.

Just need to simply remind them who sold their scope years ago to boost their own wages and CREATED our jobs. They can complain all they want but they made the regionals. So I would say thank you for selling out and giving me a nice six figure job while I wait for mainline.

It's way more complicated than that. The issue was at the time scope was relaxed, ALPA merger policy was DOH. The regionals, i.e Comair were stand alone companies. The mainline pilots were faced with a choice, give up scope for code share limitations, or hand over your seat to Comair pilots, etc. The 76 seaters on the other hand, were a bankruptcy scam job.

The notion that these companies didn't have scope contracts prior is nonsense. Management is not legally permitted to interfere with organizing, thus all flying in a union contract must be listed as permitted flying. Except in the case of Alaska, who for some reason has a reverse scope contract.
