I heard recently that upper management reached out to our union to see if they could “rally the troops!” Because after 3 years of management doing everything in their power to spit in the face of pilots (delaying contracts, unnecessarily canceling vacations, etc) all is forgiven after we signed a bottom of industry contract, right?! I have to confirm but I heard the union told the company had a long way to go providing gestures of good faith before the union would even consider meeting them halfway on any “rally the troops” effort.
Between this ignorant management request and that equally disconnected/moronic letter from Barry, the idea of being on “Team Frontier” makes me want to vomit.
To management: You have a long road ahead to repair the 3 years of damage to my professional and personal life. It wasn’t just about the money, it was that combined every other little thing you could do to *friend* us along the way. You started this fight with pilots by blatantly lying to us about your financials, while talking out the other side of your mouth to media about the immense profits you were enjoying. We started out with an incredibly honest and average offer, which you countered with offers so ridiculous they were meant to purposely anger our pilot group. In the years that have ensued my family has got caught in crossfire has you continued your campaign to demoralize our pilot group. Giving me half of what you owe me and the least amount of money you could stomach in a new contract won’t suffice, so Flying Unicorn, Management! I can’t wait til the price of fuel returns to high levels, you’re going to enjoy the fuel bill.
