This guy is a recurring example of how one becomes a regional lifer. I have no doubt his bad attitude is very obvious and self defeating.

I spent way more time at SkyWest than I ever planned on. But I met some great people that have become lifetime friends, I flew to some really cool places, and the training set me up well for success post-SkyWest. I don’t regret going there at all, and continue to hear good things at my new employer about prior SkyWest pilots.

The ERJ is everywhere.
However, none of them are *based* in ATL.

jr ca awarded ATL on last vacancy was 2 yrs doh when award was processed. I think jr fo is a month or 2 off IOE. with that said there is not nearly as much movement as say DTW but if you live in ATL its not bad

I live in South Florida so that would be a relatively a shorter commute on my end

Since we’re on the topic of ATL, how long on reserve from DOH? And what are your reserve rules? I live in the north side of Atlanta and am considering coming over from an AA wholly owned.

Looks like the most junior lineholders there
are just a couple months short of a year on property.

Short call = 2 hr callout. Long call = 12 hr callout.
Short call AM shift is 5a-5p, while PM is 9a-9p. Our
reserve system isn't perfect, but whose is? If you live
in base it's actually not bad at all.

Not interested in holding out for the flow? Those always
sounded to me like a nice hand to have in the back pocket..

While length of commute is a factor, beware the commuter factor also. Florida to Atlanta is heavy with delta commuters.

Also very true. It’s either that or LGA. Lots of flights from MIA to those two airports
