Quote: Is the ERJ at ATL? Sorry if the question has been asked
FWIW, it probably won’t be in the foreseeable future anyways. It’s not a competitive market for Delta, so people will “happily” fly a 200 in the summertime instead of a 175 down there.

Junior CRJ base. Upgrade time is around the 2 year mark. Maybe less for DTW (?)

They don’t have a choice... thats why the 2,7,9’s are in markets with no other competition. Delta wants the 175’s where they have to be competitive with “product”..

Absolutely. As long as you don't commute to Reserve (but that is like any other Regional).

Lots of good people here, I think the company treats its employees as well as can be expected, and I still enjoy going to work. The company is very stable and is smart about the way they do business. We also have a ton of bases (20 atm), which gives a lot of flexibility if you want to move around or do various types of flying with no forced upgrades. Training was also very good and genuinely want you to succeed. The Asst. Chiefs and Chief of the bases I've had experience with have also been very nice and reasonable and have no issues if something personal comes up at the last second.

Chances of basing in SEA
Folks, I am prepping for application to SkyWest too; is there any way to determine if being based in SEA is a possibility or is it just a crap shoot?

If you want Portland or Seattle go to Horizon.

Definitely not 1 year, 2 seems unlikely given senior pilots that already have their transfer bid in. Also, forget about upgrading to captain if you want to stay there.

Or Compass (for SEA)?

SEA at SKW is nigh on impossible based on the number of pilots wanting that base and the number of pilots awarded it in last 6-12 months (zero)

Might want to hold off on CP I would suggest...at least for the moment

you could possibly hit a 1000 121 PIC and upgrade in SEA at Horizon before you will probably hold SEA as an FO at SkyWest.
