"Prick"?? Wow. Let's try and stay with the facts of the case and avoid personal judgements and character assasinations. Whatever issues existed between him and his spouse have nothing to do with the proceedings of this case. For all we know they could be gutting it out till the kids are gone. Who knows. Stick with the pertinent facts.

Quote: OK, I'll start out by stating that I believe that Pina's accusations of Drugging and rape are fabricated, just so you don't misunderstand my point. That said, the fact that Engelien filed a lawsuit doesn't prove anything. Anyone can claim anything in a lawsuit. I'm making this point because somehow, people seem to attach a greater degree of credibility to claims which are made on a piece of paper filed in court. I saw a lot of that in the Pina debacle, before she flamed out and her lawsuit quietly went away. Peopl were assuming that things she claimed were true, because they were on her lawsuit. Hell, we're *still* seeing it. Look at Tired Soul's post about the security video "that shows Engelien dragging her in to his room". Jeeeeezus!!! Nobody has ever seen this video. It most likely does not exist anywhere but on the pages of her lawsuit ... but here he is, talking about it like it's a proven fact.

So, anyway, while I am convinced to a large degree that Pina's accusations are false, it needs to be said that if Pina's lawsuit didn't prove anything, than so too, Engelien's lawsuit doesn't either.
I don't know if it will prove anything, but I hope it provides case law to protect the innonence of the accused until proven guilty in a court of law rather than a court of public opinion. I also hopes it serves to motivate unions to contractually obligate airlines to exclude HR from these kinds of incidents until law enforcement recommends to a court, and a court of due process hands down a conviction. The public is too ignorant to understand the presumption of innocence and the witch hunts for evil men is really tarnishing the profession. I was very disappointed to see all the negative comments on all the news sites that persecuted these JB pilots, particularly the comments of the feminist brigades that scour websites and comment sites to interject their hate. ALPA needs to earn it's high pay rate and educate the public on presumption of innocence and perhaps that one FA was fired (if that can be established by fact in a government document). This incident has caused a lot of harm to JB pilots in ways that are inconceivable. Several comments have stated that JB pilots are bottom of the barrel and inferior to legacy airline pilots. False accusations must be met with swift and effective opposition, unless proven true in a court of law, because it is hurting the profession. I really hope JB doesn't "find" some mythical metaphorical Russian collusion narrative to use against these pilots as a result of the civil suit.

Yea- its tough for some to stick to the facts. Im relieved that B6 didnt use a "jump to conclusions" mat.

It very well could have been.
