OK, I'll start out by stating that I believe that Pina's accusations of Drugging and rape are fabricated, just so you don't misunderstand my point. That said, the fact that Engelien filed a lawsuit doesn't prove anything. Anyone can claim anything in a lawsuit. I'm making this point because somehow, people seem to attach a greater degree of credibility to claims which are made on a piece of paper filed in court. I saw a lot of that in the Pina debacle, before she flamed out and her lawsuit quietly went away. Peopl were assuming that things she claimed were true, because they were on her lawsuit. Hell, we're *still* seeing it. Look at Tired Soul's post about the security video "that shows Engelien dragging her in to his room". Jeeeeezus!!! Nobody has ever seen this video. It most likely does not exist anywhere but on the pages of her lawsuit ... but here he is, talking about it like it's a proven fact.



So, anyway, while I am convinced to a large degree that Pina's accusations are false, it needs to be said that if Pina's lawsuit didn't prove anything, than so too, Engelien's lawsuit doesn't either.

Why do you get to but into to someone’s marriage? There are plenty of people out there in open marriages, and it simply isn’t your business to project your morals onto someone else.

Problem is ...hat is that his wife wasn’t into the open, just don’t get married if you want to have free love, why give into the man by following an age old morality of fidelity. Fight the man.

Well, if you're going to go down that road, then it's also true that she was messing around with a married guy, which isn't exactly the moral high ground here.



That aside, what do you actually know about the status of his marriage at the time of the incident? Happily married, with a wife who is expecting him to be monogamous? or separated, estranged and all over but signing the papers? or as Singlecoil suggests, in an open marriage where non-monagamy is a accepted and agreed upon aspect of their relationship? How do you know? Because whey you go to a states bureau of statistics to determine someone's marital status (which is what the media did) it doesn't show those details, just married or not.



Regardless, this whole attack on him on the basis of fidelity, is weak sauce. Its a case of; "well my moral hauteur is left unsatisfied now that we know it's pretty unlikely that he actually did drug and rape her, so I'm going to look around for some other basis for demonizing him."
