There’s more bonus money in there if there are no upgrades given. So it’s a way to get you to stick around in a down turn though there will be plenty of pilots on the streets trying to come here. Bonus money is a thing of the past for a while. Probably a long while.

If you were eligible to upgrade before furloughs, no. Based on the fact they couldn’t fill upgrade classes before the virus, anyone who had the hours was eligible. Basically, nobody is getting that 3-year bonus given it doesn’t usually take 3 years to get 1,000 hours 121.

Just a quick add. it’s more than 1000hrs for some. 750 restricted ATP needs 2500 TT, 1750 hours part 121 for a few.

At this rate it’ll take me 3 years. I’ve probably flown 300 hours in my first year, and only 2 hours in my second year so far.
