I can't speak for everyone but I came here to not have to sit reserve and not have to commute. Also a quicker upgrade. Most of us could've gone to numerous other regionals but Mesa fit what I wanted. Location, Movement, equipment, etc. Funny you're throwing rocks at us when your app got tossed from Atlas. Although from the way you speak its clear why it got tossed.

Troll or not, well said. There’s no other place someone could’ve gone to get the time, experience and opportunity preCOVID. The pilot group is great and actually picking your equipment and being able to get to your desired base in short time? No where else. Leadership and pay is what it is (our leadership just may be exactly what we need through this downturn Btw) but that’s just one factor in choosing where to go. Anyway, people love to hate Mesa and that’s one more thing I like about being here.

So most of the hotels we stay at other regionals stay at as well...., Poverty I mean come on the pay is lower, but hey maybe that's why we are getting business when others are not. I'll take few dollars less and have job vs high paying job and every time there is a snafu worry about whether my awesome contract is going to price me out of the market. Now healthcare you got me it sucks here, but it's not that much better other places but it is better. The people I know that hated this place has issues anyway, so good riddance to them. I'm thankful that Im not worried about Oct 1 like some of my friends at other regionals. Mesa is not that bad. I guess for some people a big paycheck is what makes a company. I have a higher standard. Ok wages and the fact that I love going to work, works for me

i was referring to people outside the company “love to hate” us. As far as people that work here hating it, I mean, that’s sort of their own problem? No sympathy there.

Such a high and mighty attitude. Have you learned nothing about the worlds most recent turn of events? How about you just let the Mesa Pilots do their thing. Before you start on pay rates and lowering the bar, the price DHL pays to have their planes flown has little to do with Pilot pay. That is between DHL and JO. The pay rates are between JO and the Union. With Mesa’s scope clause, JO’s hands are tied as far as alter ego or subbing out the work. Hopefully the Union can negotiate well and get a decent pay rate and work rules. Good luck to the Mesa Pilots, I for one wish you well.
Wait. RJ carriers have scope clauses? That’s kinda funny right there.

yeah, we do. Keeps the company, or any company that buys Mesa from running multiple seniority lists they have to be merged together, aka freedom. Or how Skypest held Expressjet, that wouldn’t be able to happen here.

People hate it because they always need something to hate. Yes, the pay is below standard. Really doesn’t matter if you fly your ass off and get out quick. I watched a famous YouTuber mention she got 340-350 hours in a year. I logged 400 in 7 months at mesa. Crash pad roomie at Envoy had 185 hrs in 7 months. Sure you can flow, but 7 years..... idk, don’t plan on waiting to make 80k 7 years... maybe down the road. How’s that “flow” working for those guys right now?

How's that "off the street hiring" working for you right now?
