I’m sure I’ll catch a bit of flak for this but......

I didn’t make or contribute to the list, but I have seen it. My guess is that this list was created as a result of a pro standards program that isn’t producing results; ie the guys who no one wants to fly with are making no effort to improve themselves and it affects everyone they work with including flight attendants, gate agents, rampers......etc. People want to know who they are so they don’t have to put up with their crap. In almost any other industry they would have been excused from their positions due to their lack of professionalism. In aviation in particular we place an emphasis on hazardous attitudes and how they are a significant factor in incidents and accidents, and yet we protect their jobs. It’s reasonable that the union doesn’t want a list like this to exist, but what isn’t reasonable is that those guys are still employed by spirit after demonstrating a lengthy pattern of inappropriate and unprofessional behavior.

People complaining about the list are probably people on said list.

The last guy who got canned shoulda been gone a while ago... a real threat to company and glad I moved up a number. I haven’t seen any list .., but bet I can name 10 people on it. Many of them would never fly my family... but a few bad apples (bad attitudes) are at every airline ... overall great group.. better than most.. but our ding dongs are real peaches

I've seen the list. It's accurate. Not condoning, but also not surprised.

Every airline has those. At Republic there was a captain whom the company actually asked to switch bases because so many FOs in his current base had him on their Do Not Fly list. The union protected his job too. I don't get it.

Have seen the list, pretty accurate. Simple. Don’t be a d#$&H*@d and you won’t end up on it. There’s a difference in being Boss and being bossy.

I think a good way to measure it is if you are constantly flying with FO's on reserve and you are a line holder it's probably a good assumption that you are on a list of some sort lol.

Or folks could put their big boy pants on. It’s work not a sorority. Are the folks making these lists the same ones that got their parents to talk to the principal and have their class changed bc the teacher was mean.

I’m not saying certain captains can’t conduct themselves better but life is full of bad teachers, horrible bosses, and annoying coworkers. You suck it up. At least that’s what I was taught and I’m a millennial.

I am going to respectfully disagree with you on this one. I am over 2 decades into this career, 4 companies, 3 upgrades. I am LAS based, 95% of the FOs I fly with have the same 3 guys on the no fly list. That is not a "mean" issue. Every airline has hired a few they regret hiring.

Guys in the list at my old airline. They were terrifying to fly with and their personality made you want to punch them or cry.

Not sure the guys “on the list” at spirit are truly that bad? Just not as awesome as the other 99% maybe. I personally never put someone on my no fly list. I would even assume these listers aren’t on many no fly lists either.
