All airline management are part timers, founders being the exception. These guys circulate regularly in the punch bowl, just hope for competence and a lot of luck. What happened to leadership? Guitar Hero can't even be bothered to put out a memo to the front line.

I think that punctuates the lack of respect Miramar has for the employee groups. Partners in profit sharing? Nope. Message to the troops on the changing of the guard? Nope. Message on the direction of the company? Nope. But don't forget to push on time and turn those APU's off.

I find that half the folks with reputations don’t deserve it. Usually it’s that they expect you to do your job and people get their feelings hurt and put that person on a list. Do your job per the AOM and you won’t have a problem with 99.9999% of the captains.
