Or folks could put their big boy pants on. It’s work not a sorority. Are the folks making these lists the same ones that got their parents to talk to the principal and have their class changed bc the teacher was mean.
I’m not saying certain captains can’t conduct themselves better but life is full of bad teachers, horrible bosses, and annoying coworkers. You suck it up. At least that’s what I was taught and I’m a millennial.

The CA’s on the list in my base absolutely deserve to be on there. Every FO complains about the same names. I’d give a pilot a fair shake before making a judgement to have them on the list. But the names already there haven’t made behavior adjustments that deserve a fair shake. Be nice if the list went both ways. I’ll admit to not picking up a trip because a certain FO is on it.
As mentioned earlier, fly SOP and treat the person next to you how you’d like to be treated. Makes work much more enjoyable.
It seems narcissism can only be treated by oneself by seeking help!

They would never fly with anyone . The point being is nobody should ever have to ‘suck it up’ to fly with these folks .. Personalities dont always mesh, but these people are persona non grata for a reason . They are the on a ‘list ‘ for s reason. The problem is them . Not the FO. The infamous captain that got fired here years ago went to Africa and crashed an MD and killed many people . I would argue that some folks here need to ‘put on their big boy pants ‘ and understand they aren’t god and their typed rated FO’s are part
Of the crew and a good resource

Right, it's because of the FO not follwing the AOM. It's probably has nothing to do with, yelling at a ramper or FA to the point they are crying. How about having a tirade in reccurent ground in front of the rest of the class that got them on the list.

Having flown with a handful of the people on the list I found the descriptions accurate. I'd classify most of them as "prefer not to fly with again if at all possible but I'll do it if I have to". I'm on my 3rd airline and 18th year in da bidness and while there are definitely exceptions to the rule the people who make it on the type of list we were emailed about have earned their spot and I for one appreciate getting a heads up about them.

I’d agree with most of this. I’ve had names discussed but I haven’t actually seen the list. Usually I ask the person if they’ve flown with that captain. The answer is usually no. Most of the folks on the list I wouldn’t eat dinner with on the overnight but getting through the day isn’t what their reputation suggests in most cases. There of course are exceptions and those special folks are dangerous. Luckily one we just got rid of and I heard another maybe earlier this year but I didn’t verify that. If they are dangerous they need to be gone. If they are just weird but do the job well then suck it up and look out the window. If they are A holes then refer them to pro standards after having your own conversation.
These guys on the list aren’t anomalies, they are the grade A tools. I don’t like the list because FOs shouldn’t have to make a list, pilots should police their own and these Captains do nobody any good at our airline.
I don’t know where the limits of the union DFR begins and ends, but I would like to see these guys pulled and counseled and retrained on CRM and basic respect for others.

I’m willing to bet most on that list have been run through the ProStandards routine. The fact they have not changed at all, and still have issues today, sadly shows inefficiencies with the ProStandards process at Spirit. It’s a great resource but telling FOs to “suck it up and look out the window” isn’t a solution, it’s a cop out
And when I say A holes I don’t mean someone that shares a technique or counsels you about following SOP.
