Well, the feeling is mutual

There's no missed approach on a visual, but yea, its atleast some kind of guidance
Quote: Yeah? They also good at not turning the wrong way onto taxiway Alpha and getting lost at ORD. Something I've witnessed Delta doing more than a few times. O'Hare HATES Delta pilots. Especially ever since a couple of them went missed on a visual approach and followed the ILS missed approach path. (LOL)
The LOL in all caps really lends gravity and maturity to your flamebait, err argument. Are you the dude on guard that always makes us mute it when we coast in?

“That’s all I have to say about that.”

👏👏👏

Its not guidance.

I know I'm being a bit curt but think about every go around youve had, straight ahead, vectors back around. JFK, DTW, CVG, MSP, SFO to name a few where a missed is some goofy procedure (which you wont ever do either), the go around is straight ahead to 3000/4000/5000 contact departure.

In fact, those of us who've actually done a few missed approaches outside a sim, if taken a survey, I'd bet the visual go around is a better guidance than the published missed for an atc given missed in a collective experience.

You sure they didn't assume lost comm, after not getting a wind check response.

You know what's really fascinating, the lies SkyWest tells to extend out the flight. I once heard them tell ATC they needed to shoot the full approach with DME Arc because of equipment limitations. It was day VFR.
Quote: Damn...Why so salty???

DAL mainline presence in ORD is very small and some guys have never been there.

Fine, and I can say the same about OO. Small NYC presence and most guys haven't been there. So you can talk to the clown that's talking trash about OO pilots.

Your company policy is going to keep getting you violated then. When I took the ORD tower / tracon tour and someone asked who their least favorite carrier was... You guys got the unanimous gold medal. So I suggest getting over the elitist better than regional pilots crap.

Yeah, well, it's wrong guidance. You only do the published missed when cleared for the approach. Visual approach = visual go around.

That's cool. I once was taking off behind a Delta 717 which was told to fly runway heading. 400agl they turn left nose to nose with a caravan on approach to a cross runway and caused a loss of separation. This was after they missed the taxiway, wandered onto the runway, and then had to back taxi and 180 at the end. They got a well deserved phone number to call.
