Having a lifer could be a good thing. The company cannot use flow as blackmail on getting things done.

"Forget the AIP, this is what we will give you. And you will sign, if you want to flow".

I wish we had a lifer as MEC too.

It's a good thing. Brings stability and vested interest.

Holy crap, I agree with dera on something.

You want someone who won't flow negotiating for you, because all the other folks who negotiated for you sold y'all down the river for their own flow's sake.

Man...

I can not believe I'm making a post in agreement with Dera.

I've always thought the guys that intend on staying here are the guys best suited for representing us. Give it a little thought, more than the surface "he's not like me" kinda thought, and I think you'll agree.

It’s hard to wash off shame. I too also agree with Dera on this one. 😉

Racist, seriously? While I don’t agree with the post, there was never any mention of race.

I have pretty good information that there are at least a few new members on the negotiating committee that want to work for some QOL improvements.

I want to see some changes in both QOL and flow, but of course, who knows what will come out of any of this
The other reality is The Envoy is a diverse pilot group with diverse desires. There needs to be all groups represented.

Management has just one desire. Keep their costs to an absolute low while while simultaneously keeping pilot morale and expectations even lower.

Also you dont make it cheaper at regionals just to get your flow because then there is always a cheaper alternative. When and if flow stops it will be to late to fight for things. You will barely keep what you have.

If you keep the regionals as a cheap operation, why would mainline bring flying back to mainline. Please dont mention the hiring for the next 10 years, one big world screw up and that's all out the window. You play the averages, you all are putting all the eggs in one basket.
