Thank you for the breakdown! I don’t think there is another consolidated sources out there. One has to leaf through pages and pages to get that info. Nice work!

Can an SDFz pick up an overtime trip out of MIA or vice versa?

What is so bad?
I guess it varies per person.

Is it multiple legs through the night?

To long/short of trips?

I think it might be the easiest commute for me, just trying to get an idea of how bad.

i would have to look more closely, but you are most likely going to work almost every week especially if you are junior. Crash pads are almost non existent so you will be forking over lots of hotel money. Maybe someone ONT based can give insight to the perils of commuting there.

I recently chatted with a newer guy that commutes to ONT from SLC. He said it wasn’t bad. Sorry, that’s all I remember.

Trip board, yes, anytime with no restrictions. Straight pickups yes but there is a time window, not until xx (96 hr?) before the trip to protect the people in the domicile. Naturally you have to be qualified for what you are trying to do. Not sure Mia is north Atlantic qualified and while they made Z eligible for south America, it's not for the special airports down there.

ONT lines are no worse in my opinion than anything else in the system. Like everything else one man's trash is another man's treasure. Asia lines and Hono lines both go senior. The hot standby (airport standby) varies but you usually need to be around 60% or better to hold those but occasionally junior guys can For a new guy you will most likely be on RSVA (11pm to 11am), RSVB (11am to 11pm) or baselines. The RSV stuff is either week on/off or 4 weeks on with weekends off. 14 duty days per month. Baselines are a real mixed bag flying everywhere in the domestic system with a mix of 3 days on 2 days off ,4 days on 3 days off type stuff. Obviously those can be a little challenging for commuters. The good news is baseline trips can be traded so if you're willing to work at it you can polish those turds and end up with a schedule that is manageable if you commute. Overall FOs here in ONT seem happy, or at least not anymore ****ed off than Bus guys. I like it, but I live here and that makes a huge difference.
