This is what I was hoping to find out...guess I’ll have to wait.

It would be nice if everyone FSAP'd the fact that TK events like CQMV are taking place. This is NOT essential work, and it violates the intent of what the states and federal government is trying to accomplish.

United and ALPA should be demanding that the FAA "stop the madness", and simply roll all 9-month events 3 months to the right. Planes won't be falling out of the sky if they do, and it makes no sense that we are doing these kind of sims.

I know we love to compare ourselves to Delta, but they have a waiver in w the FAA to extend the CQ window, do we?

Please explain why it makes no sense, other than the fact that we did them only yearly prior to the merger.

Because we are "needlessly" putting three people in to a small classroom... that probably was used by three others right before they got there... and that was not sterilized.

And then those three people get in to a small sim cockpit for 3-4 hours, talking a lot (which results in a lot of aerosol saliva) and well within 6' from each other.

They get out of the sim... and three more get in.

Fauci, Birx, and the other experts have spoken, and the edicts have been given: social distancing... and employers should not bring employees in unless absolutely necessary. Nine-month cycle sims are not "necessary", in my opinion. They could be delayed for this national issue. Call the FAA and have it done.

Colorado doesn't have as strict edicts as many other states, but even so Gov Polis has stated employers need to cut in-person workers by a minimum of 50%. Have the Governor call the FAA and have it done.

Yes, there are still pilots getting into real cockpit together and flying trips. Got it. That's a different issue for a different thread.

To help reduce the exposure to the pilot group, TK needs to drastically cut back on training. I personally do not believe that getting everyone a 3, 4, 5, or 6 month extension (pick the number of months you want), will result in an unsafe airline operation.

But getting me infected in the sim because of the massive amount of social interaction that occurs at the microscopic level in TK is inexcusable for training that can be delayed.

You should PDR this, verbatim. Nailed it

Not to mention.....most of us will then board a plane and fly home as a passenger. Assuming all of the circumstances in the earlier posts, that would make TK a national distribution center for the COVID.

WOW! May as well just go down to the basement, get a flashlight, pull the covers over your head and hide out from the bogey man. While you’re at it resign you’re seniority because you won’t need it if we follow your advice. There won’t be an airline.

I finished CQMV last week. Been fine since then and will fly my first trip after vacation next week.

Those air planes, with at least a few passengers won’t fly themselves. But, let’s give Boeing and mgt. a reason to advance Single pilot ops, to combat anyone ever catching something from the second pilot. BTW, are you refusing to fly..ya know in that cockpit that 2 other people just occupied and was visited by a cleaner?

Its a damn good thing this mentality didn’t prevail at Concord or the Alamo.

Another pilot who knows more than virtually every medical expert I have heard or read over the last month.
Felt fine since your event last week? Thought it could sit inert for up to two weeks?
Cockpit visited by a cleaner? HA. Tell me, did they sanitize EVERY switch in the cockpit with a sanitizing wipe? The seat forward and aft controls? The seat belt connectors? The little gizmo on the flap handle? etc etc etc. SURE THEY DID.

Yes, we'll all be shopping by Easter!

It sounds like we need a "WHAT CHA' SMOKIN?" thread.
