Maybe not as cheap as a furlough, but it reads better in the news, gets you cred with your employees, and allows you to bounce back if the demand does.
I still don't think they will let this crisis go to waste. Look for calls for "we are all in this together" type concessions.
They can pound ****ing sand with their concession asks, just like they did with us for 4+ years when we asked for gains. Let us not forget that.
