Not sure if he was mentioned in this thread, but you can't have a XJT nostalgia thread without "Jungle" Jim Pennington... https://www.denverpost.com/2017/07/1...ticle-removal/

There was also the mexico beach run.

And before I arrived, the triple penetration.

Didn't you guys have a pilot smear his own feces down the hallway of a Candlewood Suites somewhere?

Or am I thinking of Skywest? Heh - good times!

There was a crash pad in EWR at the Residence Inn. There was a guy there in 2007-2008 era who was always wasted and several times was seen urinating in the middle of the room at night. Then proceeding to his 6am ARC to sleep it off. The funniest part was that he thought that nobody knew who it was.

I think that was an FA, who would take a dump in the 2nd bed in the hotel room and tuck the sheets and blankets in nicely again. Sick people out there!

ok, so here is my contribution to the RIP ExpressJet thread. jacburn

note - if you are reading this and you realize that you are the person that this post is about and you remember this happening....youre a POS.

Now....

Anyone that spent any time in Houston knows about the kindest and most friendly crewtracker in the world. "J"
Her office was always packed with pilots and she genuinely cared about your life, your family and your state of being. YEARS later, I still hear from her on occasion, which is crazy! If she ever got the task of reassigning someone, she came to you with absolute contrition and USUALLY had reworked your schedule on the back side in such a way that "made up" for it, so to speak. If not, she remembered that she "owed you one", which she was in no obligation to do.

She was great. Many will likely agree.

one day, during a nice long sit, we (the captain and I) dropped in her office to find her very upset...to the point of tears. Naturally, she didnt want to give up the information but eventually we gathered that some jerk FO from another base had just cussed her out and made an ass of himself over a reassignment. get this....it wasnt even an extension. It was "hey your overnight changed from lexington to Lubbock but youre still getting back to DEN early in the AM" (sort of thing) she wouldnt tell us who but it was easy enough to look up back then so we went to their gate (only with the intent to solicit an apology and hopefully embarrass him a bit....remind him to be professional etc) to find them already pushing back. According to their schedule, they were due into Denver about 1 hour after us the next day.

so the fun begins....

we hung around their gate the next am to put eyes on this little man and went down to the crew room (knowing they would be headed down there as well)....once they got down there (in the denver crew room there was a line of computers that you had to stand at) and we were already standing and browsing the computer (Doing nothing) as this guy logged onto his account and started browsing as well. So our conversation started.....just loud enough for him to overhear...

"man...i still cant believe that happened, can you?"

"no...thats just crazy. I bet he gets fired, right?"

"oh he has to....especially these days......thats almost harassment??"

(natural pilot curiosity kicks in and the culprit finally asks "what happened?")

"oh nothing....some a-hole cussed out the crew tracker in houston yesterday and made her cry"

[ silence....]

"w....when? what happened?"

"oh i dont know....someone got reassigned to Lubbock or something and cussed her out and when we left Jim (CPO) was in her office and they were calling HR....she had to go home, she was so upset"

dude snatched his phone out of his pocket and out the door he went. likely calling ALPA or who knows.....

anyway.....if youre reading this....i hope that ruined your day, even for a moment. stop being a jerk to people who are just doing their job and doing it with class. act like a professional next time!

She was great. You couldn't even make yourself get mad at her when she handed you a reassignment.

She's still there and she's still the best.

glad to hear it. You can see why we took exception to some hot head making her cry!
