Quote: I don't believe they work well enough to warrant the damage they are doing to the economy...my daughter is 6 and started back to school in full mask/social distancing protocol...eating lunch in class, desks 6 feet apart...can't get close to each other at recess, so they stand around like a bunch of cows in a pasture...needless to say, she started back Monday and by Tuesday evening was laid out with strep throat...her teacher said that a lot of kids were coming down with it...they think it is because they are all touching their faces all day long playing with the masks...if they are getting strep, then Covid would have no problem....it's all a joke...
How are masks doing damage to the economy?

Interesting theory, considering the incubation period for strep throat is longer than 36 hours.

His point, in my reading, is masks at this point are a theater to make people feel better. When that fear is gone, people will slowly get back to living a normal life.

In my neighborhood, we have someone who wears surgical gloves to the grocery store, kids out of school. On the other end of the street, a neighbor had a blow out Labor Day pool party. Both are doing fine.

what’s doing damage is the pure lack of consistency across the country. It has nothing to do with the masks but rather all the travel bans between states/cities. People can’t go to where they want to go and still follow state local laws at their destination or when they return home with quarantines set up in half the places. It’s like people from the quarantine states can’t go to the non-quarantine and vice versa due to a 14 day lockdown either at home or in vacation.

They just haven't released the one with a 98 percent kill rate yet. Don't worry though they will.
