Is it possible for a junior pilot to be flying the line as a 220 FO while a more senior pilot is getting paid 30 hours at 717 pay? If the answer is no, I'm a yes vote. If it's yes, I'll be voting no.

The way I read the LOA was no. I believe if this passes, all 1721 convert to 30 hrs immediately, If anyone has seen anything different I’m all ears.

Nope. If a junior pilot is flying every senior ‘affected pilot’ is bumped up to the current una status

Hey guys/gals. Ual guy here. Hearing rumors 20-04 passed your MEC and going MEMRAT. If so, can someone post the contract language. Thanks.

As I read it, technically, yes, but probably not what you're thinking.

It is possible...during reassignments. As positions become available to bring people off 30hrNFS, it's a seniority based proffer. If a senior pilot doesn't want that position (NYC220B, for example), they would stay on 30hrNFS while a junior pilot would get the slot, either on proffer or inverse assignment.

The short answer is no, but as PW points out, in the 1721 pilots, the answer could be yes if the most senior pilot defers their recall as it starts top down, then bottom up. The 20-04 takes the most junior 1721 pilots out of the picture and relinquishes all reinstatement rights they might have. So when the recall process starts those 1721 have a process and choice of available positions at the that time. Mind you it could take a year at least to train back all 1721 pilots. Some could choose not to return right away. Once the bottom up recall gets back to their position, they either go on leave or stop working for Delta. Again, from this very junior UNA perspective, this is an enormous relief and amazing display of support. The news of this came on a Thursday before the Sunday we were all to be furloughed and mailing in our crew and KCM badges. The weight it has taken off our shoulders is felt by family and friends alike.

No contract language has been sent out to the masses yet.
The negotiators notepad says we get:Permanent 3-5 hour reduction of the Green Slip Trigger (ALV - 5) or (72 hours) whichever is lower

Example: 74 Hour ALV would result in a GS Trigger of 69

Permanent TLV reduction to 73-78 hours after the term of the LOA, driving increased headcount and improved seat progression during the recovery

ARCOS programming and process improvements

WS/GS/GSWC offers and awards are all now proffers

Furlough protection (minimum of a year) for over 1700 of our most junior pilots. These pilots will receive 30 hours of 717B pay per bid period at their longevity step, DC contribution, along with active medical premiums

Positive Space Commuting for at least 13 months, including an agreement that no “backup” flight is required to satisfy the existing commuting policy

Establishment of a Market Based Cash Balance Plan to supplement retirement savings

We give 12 months of a 5 hour “sliding” TLV window. The 5-hour window must be between 72-80 hours (current TLV window is fixed at 75-80 hours). This means that the ALV for all positions must be within a 5 hour variance of any other position and be no less than 72 or greater than 80.

Not sent out to the masses via email, yes. The TA document with full language has been on the MEC website since Sunday night.

Voting on 20-04 closes on the 25th. So they shortened the timeline for voting. Good move.

This NC and MEC has really made some great moves since this has all started. They and us have out maneuvered JL and company at almost every step. They pulled one over on us with the SILs twice but we didn’t let that stop from getting this deal done.
