Quote: You seriously don’t have any other options? Plenty of good regionals available that won’t potentially have you on the street for a second time in a year.

I bet AW has a great training program, but that’s a small consideration when considering your career job. Have you read any of the announcements lately?
Honestly haven't put in apps many places. Just a few and AW was the first to reply. I will consider all options and not just turning my nose up at any. I live on the East Coast in VA and there are only a handful of regionals that have bases nearby.

Dulles is super senior on both fo and Captain side . As a new hire , you won’t see it for a very long time.

FWIW, I was in a similar boat, also former XJT, and I went to Skywest due to the uncertainty of AW's future. AW responded first and had the earlier class date, but I decided to go with Skywest because I'm 99% sure Skywest will exist 5 years from now, and I didn't have the same certainty about AW given their position. Best of luck and I hope the best for AW

We are working a lot, crediting even more, certainly over 100 month if you want it. You might have Dayton for a month or two but you can get any base pretty quickly at the rate we are hiring. Aviate is nice to have in your back pocket, whereas Skywest/Republic doesn't have anything at all. Flow or not, something is better than nothing.

Don't let the nay-sayers sway you too much, every regional has various troubles. We have a good culture and great people!

Everything he said is true EXCEPT, you won’t have any base you want in a month or two . That’s bs . I know people based in Ord live on va or md and still can’t hold Dulles .
Second,we are swamped with flying and very understaffed. We hire 15, 10 leave so we aren’t really ramping up like you may think .
Also all if this flying is eventually going away unfortunately. Plan accordingly sir .

He doesn't have any inside info any more than anyone else. Our contract with UA is up in 2023 but as anyone will tell you, contracts don't mean much around here. But sure, it could go away.

Also, IAD is pretty junior right now, so idk what flica account Idle is using but almost all the junior guys have had IAD or MKE recently. DAY is gonna be about the size of MKE so ya, you can get out in a couple months.

Not so certain that's true. I could had a line in Dulles 2 months ago if I chose and I am by no means senior on the list. My employee number starts with 29xxx.
