Quote: I had a chance to talk to Mr. Coleman today and liked a lot of what I was hearing, but I wanted to try and get some info from folks who are/have been there.

What is a rough number of hours that a junior 73 FO might see in a month? I know that tough to say, particularly given the seasonal swings, but are we talking what some Southern/Atlas 73 guys are flying now 2-10hrs/mo or something more like 30-40? Thank you for your time
Coleman is a great guy. Hours wise right now at K2 you'll get 30-40hrs/mo average in cvg. In Miami you'll get more like 50 ish, but the busy season is approaching and you can count on more than that per month until after the first of the year.
Hope that helps.

Yeah we have grown a lot in the last few years, and we keep getting more 737s. Our new DO as well as our new CP are very good guys, and both were promoted from inside the company and are well known to the pilot group.

That, I am glad to hear! I accepted the offer and will be in the Sept 737 FO Class. The short notice is going to be tough, but its too good to pass up. Certainly beats Sky West or Mesa.

Quote: Mike is the definition of SCAB , having a SCAB for a CP effect the operation in a big way , he wouldn't have moved an inch in this business without crossing the line...when you give people information make sure you give the entire picture...
Don't know anything about Mike's history and frankly don't care. My interactions with him have been nothing but positive. According to the ALPA master scab list that is available online, exactly 3 scabs have been added in the last 32 years. It is soon to be an obsolete document. I know ALPA's mantra is to never forget and never forgive. But holy cow, holding that kind of a grudge for that long seems like a major waste of time and energy.

In your opinion, what would be a good period of time after which to just "forgive and forget"?

Well considering I am in my 50s now, and all but the last three guys were added when I was still in high school or earlier, I would say that is a good indication of it no longer being relevant. The overwhelming majority of those guys are retired, or dead. Besides, ALPA decided to officially forgive the Continental scabs in 2001 when ALPA realized that doing so would be financially beneficial to ALPA (ALPA officially offered amnesty to Continental scabs in order to secure the vote when Continental pilots were weighing switching from their in-house union to ALPA). So there is precedent right from the top to "forgive and forget".
