Quote: With mainline focusing on developing their wholly owned regional partners, my guess is the independent regionals are recognizing the need to diversify their revenue streams. Air Wisconsin with Cargo. Mesa with DHL Cargo. Skywest with a 135 operation. This probably won't be the last we see of these "creative ideas". Just a guess from somebody who is not a business CEO.

Question did AW have one of their airframes converted or is this the Cargo bird that was at Elite owned by Regional One??? Regional One has retrieved all their aircraft from Elite and has been placing them at new homes... So AW may not have invested much into the new Cargo venture... Just a thought...

498 is leased from Regional One, who did the freighter conversion on a former ExpressJet/ASA airframe.

They don't need cargo. AAL is paying the freight now.
