Quote: A lot of those Marshal guys are the type that don’t like guys named Brandon…so it would be interesting to see how that went anyway
The problem with that is whack-a-mole...

First mole who sticks his head up is going to get whacked and they all know it. Nobody... federal LEO's, governors, or other state officials are going to stand up and forcibly interfere (or give the order to) with federal employees.

If they do it solo, it's a crime. If they conspire, it's insurrection.

If it's going to happen it will need to be coordinated in advance, with multiple states involved. Do our current crop of state pols have the stones to pull the trigger on that? They have to win big time, or go to prison... even talking about it is insurrection. Not saying it couldn't happen but it's a HUUUUGE step, and cannot be done with half measures.

They can talk a lot of smack, but there's no going back if you pull a Ft. Sumter. Either have to win, or fight to a good enough draw that the feds will grant amnesty as part of an armistice.

Who wants to go first? I don't think enough state people want to die on this particular hill (perhaps literally die).

This is what's actually going to happen...

Some federal judge somewhere is almost certain to enjoin the OSHA ETS until SCOTUS decides on it one way or another.

Remember the judicial jurisdiction shopping involving immigration policy in the last few years that led to federal injunctions?

That’s probably going to bite again…

Quote: LOL, the FBI?

Don't think so

FBI can't function within a state without the State AG and Sheriff support. Fact.

How many FBI agents (with LE function) are there again? But then again I forget you are on the side of the US going full up East German.
No way Drum. Rick told me that he considers himself a conservative, lol. I am not sure what kind of perspective he has but certainly doesn't type like one.

I'm just telling you what *is* going to happen, not necessarily what I think *should* happen.

None of these state leaders are going to endanger their personal liberty, jobs, or lifestyle over this. They'll just talk smack and file lawsuits so they can claim they're doing something.

If somebody was actually going to go kinetic on the fed, they wouldn't talk about it in public beforehand

I actually find common ground on that note. For all the grandstanding and harumphing by the right side in Congress…. All the sound bites, all the YouTube interviews, all the “taking Fauci to task” I have yet to see a single bill brought forward….. because when the camera ain’t rolling, you KNOW those dudes with an R are still over on K street getting a tongue bath and election cash from big pharma just like the Dems.

Quote: UK approves Merck pill for at-risk covid patients...

https://www.reuters.com/business/hea...ll-2021-11-04/
This, plus the Pfizer pill, will be the end of the vaccine mandates (or should be) then. The "vaccine" doesn't prevent infection, after all, merely stops (most) hospitalization. How is this pill any different?

Has to be, because the record keeping of "fully vaccinated" is totally unworkable (I.E.: Which vaccine?, when administered?, which booster?, by which state/national government standards?, and on and on.)

US gov has always known this, hence the push back enforcement of the "mandatory" OSHA vaccine regulation which was originally for Sept, then pushed back to Oct, then December, now January, with court cases being brought by deep pocket state governments.

Relying on an 1905 SCOTUS decision, pre W. Wilson and FDR expansion to a federal managerial state manned by professional meritocratic bureaucracies (James Burnham "The Managerial Revolution), who's original penalty for not taking a vaccine was $5 (that's it.), is pretty shaky ground for the kind of massive penalties and enforcement OSHA is now demanding; the federal government knows it.

Endemic, not pandemic, and these two pills will be the new "Tamiflu".

It will help for sure, and that's eventually where it will end up.

My guess is that the regime is concerned about mid-terms, they want to make sure that the economy is up and covid is down. So I'd expect whatever mandates get approved by the courts to remain in force at least to next Nov.

Quote: WSJ reporting very good early trial data for pfizer's pill.

89% reduction in hospitalization and death if taken within three days of symptom onset. Much mo betta than Merck's pill.

Both drugs may be approved by year-end.

EDIT: non-paywall article...

Then can we stop with the vaccine push?

(I’ll also be standing by for a chemical analysis from an enterprising sort to see if there are strong similarities to non-patent medications…)

Story claims that NYC MTA won't pay life insurance benefits out for subway/bus/rail workers if they die of Covid now that it's a mandated vaccine.

Interesting if true (because it's the internet, so lord only knows if it's accurate). Seems a little bit too "on the nose", if you know what I mean.

Still, if this holds up, I can't imagine literally every company affected by the Biden OSHA mandate wouldn't do the same. Including Delta.

Anyone know if Delta has addressed this? Payout now is around $1 million (tax free); not aware of pilots dropping in large numbers to this, but other employee groups would surely be affected as well.
