Quote: I believe Mesaba bought that hangar for cash back in the 90s, so the costs to the company are basically zero outside of paying the electric bill. They'll probably keep the MX base there for a good long time...
Factor in the fire extinguishing system going off at random times and ruining the planes inside.

From what I've heard from our mechanics, that's actually been more of a problem at the hangar in MSP...

It means adjustment and changes. Changes are always hard. But the overall cause, a shortage of pilots, is happy times not sad times. The greater opportunities and faster progression to a main line seat. More money, progression, good things.

Yes . No sad times about seeing the Metro , Saab or RJ 200 being sent to the boneyard , cargo or running rubber dog **** out of Hong Kong 😂. Just like no one will shed a tear when the regionals disappear and get folded into the associated mainline operations (certificates) .

Correct. DTW 200 closure will leave only ATL 200. Today we are suppose to see a realignment and time frame for the DTW 200 closure.

It’s so you can bid for your current position and get involuntarily displaced. You would receive displacement rights at that point.

if you bid for a different position. You would move per bid. And would not get displacement rights.
