Really dude? Would you fly for free? Good luck with the new product btw. It’s great to have choices.

Quote: Carter,

Can you please give us a bit more information.

Do you store any of our information anywhere? If so what encryption do you use? And what information do you store? And where are you storing the information?
Assuming you store some of our information, who keeps the encryption keys, us or you?
Do you use third party apps as part of your code? Do you use third party trackers?
Do you use open source software, or did you write your own. If so, how have you vetted your software?
Have you had your code tested for vulnerabilities?
What is your bug tracking process?

Thank you for giving us another choice. I look forward to your answers.
”If something is free, you are the product.”

These are valid questions.

If you can give us something that will replace FX Cal for the iphone with a more intuitive and less dated interface I would be happy to give you some cash.

Agreed. That came off wrong on my part. The guy said the software was free, no caveats. Knowing that couldn't be the case, it seemed like a misleading marketing ploy. Had he just come out and said it would be free until he had enough users and was then going to implement an $xx yearly charge, then that would have been different.

Does BidX do vacation expansion on the iPad like FXCal? I also like FXCal’s TAFH metric. I do wish I could sort with it though. If BidX or AcroBid could do those things, I would switch over.

The developer is touting it as free rather than the free trial that it is and the cheap-a$$ pilot is jumping on his wallet like it's a grenade in the trench. SMH. Maybe I'm the the crazy one.

  • Free
  • Compatible with iPads, Macs, and PCs
  • Available now
I am very excited to announce the release of my new bidding software. It is compatible with everything; it was designed to work on the company iPad and it also works great on both Macbooks and PCs. You can even start your bid on one device and finish it on another.

My favorite feature is how it was designed around grouping your bid preferences. For instance, you could put all the lines that respect your days off in the top group, and put all of your favorite layovers in the next group. It makes it really easy to prioritize what's important to you.

I am really proud of the program and hope you check it out. Did I mention that it's free?

Let me apologize for the 12 angry men. You cant even give them something for free without complaining. Typical of APC

To those with concerns if it will eventually have a fee. Who cares. If it ends up having a fee choose if it is worth it at that point. In the mean time enjoy free. To those insinuating personal data risk. Do you ask the same questions of APC, other apps or BidX/FXcal or any of the numerous places you electronically enter your data. Apps have basic security protocol requirements if on the app store. Geeshhhhhh

As a hardcore user of BidX I can tell you that while it has a much better/usable UI, it doesn't have the features of FX cal. hence my post.
