Thanks for the long form review Tao. I need to get critical feedback like that to know where I can improve the program. Soon after its release someone notified me that reserve carryover was not being calculated correctly, and I was able to hotfix it right away. The bug reports are much appreciated.
The development team for the program really is just me - there is no one else behind the scenes. I spent a lot of layovers making this a reality. Think of the "we" in terms of service more like a royal "we." Good on you for actually reading the terms and conditions though.
There is a really exciting feature I am going to release tomorrow. I hope you will all log in and check it out.

I’ll try that new feature tomorrow after noon. A jumpseat finder would be cool. I often forget when and how many FedEx flights run between Indy or Memphis and my home town. When I’m bidding I have to jump over to PFC to double check that before I bid certain lines. Linking in with passrider.com would be nice for checking flight schedules for front or back end deviating.

Is anybody else checking VIPS right now to see what line you were awarded? I just added a feature to Acrobid that allows you to add your trips to your device's calendar with 1 click.
The feature works regardless of how you bid, whether it was with Acrobid or one of the older programs. It works great with your phone, iPad, or computer.
As a bonus, I've loaded the December bidpacks in so you can go in and add your December trips too.
The cost is the same as the cost to bid next month: free.
Here's a video that shows it in action:

I ran into another hiccup. When I went to airplane mode for a couple hours and was rearranging trips within the browser I finally received an error message. I hadn't saved my bid and auto save wasn't connected to the cloud. I also couldn't use the back button to navigate away from the error page to recover the session. I wonder if there is a browser setting or way to enable an offline mode that will allow local storage auto save in lieu of cloud connection. I am using Brave which I assume isn't very standard.
Another mention, the Good, Better, Best folders are nice however their proximity to the lines section of the page may be too narrow. When rearranging lines within a folder, i.e. dragging lines up especially, one can inadvertently drop the line into an alternate folder vs dropping it in a new spot within the sequence. BidX line movement tab is on the far right of the line, on one hand making it harder to perceive which line is being manipulated, on the other hand, in your case, would separate the folders from the line sort.
It should be noted that this is already great software, easy to use. You have added features that are better than the alternatives.

Worked for me. I like that the trip times are added in the notes section of the calendar info. I hate to be so needy.... If the notes could include the dates with the flights my wife would know to which dates the flight times refer. Right now it's easy for me to go into the notes and add the dates to the flights. She really like your feature because the software I have been using only shows the layovers.

I've adjusted the drag and drop mechanics a little bit to try to improve the issue. Let me know if it's noticeable

I’d be willing to give your program a try if you’d publish what it is going to cost after the free period. It’s been asked multiple times what the cost will be, but for whatever reason the question has been ignored and is still unanswered. Until you provide what the cost will be I’m a pass.

carterj , why won't you answer questions from anyone else than Tao? It looks like you are avoiding the tough questions and have some sort of arrangement with Tao to promote your product.

I don't know how much it will cost, but I will probably make the price similar to the older programs.
Are there other questions I've missed? I'll go back and try to do better. I'm happy to answer any "hard" questions on the phone too - my number's in VIPS (please respect my time zone).

Cool, well when you figure out the payment plan, please let us know. Until I know what I'm getting into, it's simply not worth learning a new system to find that it's too expensive.
I say again, providing a 2-3 month trail period would be more helpful as we all have different expiration dates for BidX/FxCal. I did a write up earlier that you never addressed, not sure if you missed it.
You should be compensated for your work. But playing coy during the launch is not helping your cause buddy.

Carter,
Can you please give us a bit more information.
Do you store any of our information anywhere? If so what encryption do you use? And what information do you store? And where are you storing the information?
Assuming you store some of our information, who keeps the encryption keys, us or you?
Do you use third party apps as part of your code? Do you use third party trackers?
Do you use open source software, or did you write your own. If so, how have you vetted your software?
Have you had your code tested for vulnerabilities?
What is your bug tracking process?
Thank you for giving us another choice. I look forward to your answers.

A program like BidX is run directly by your operating system. It has access to your file system and the code needs to be trusted so that it is not installing other malicious software.
Acrobid runs in your browser of choice (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc.) It has no access to your file system. It cannot run code on your operating system. Inside of the "walled gardens" build by Apple or Google or Mozilla, Acrobid cannot harm your device, install malicious software, modify code in other tabs, or track your actions on the web.
I install no trackers. I use browser storage to save your data and this is purged periodically and automatically.
I use Google Analytics to track things like screen resolution, device operating system version, and location. It helps me know how to focus my development efforts better and whether my application is working for guys stuck in a CAN hotel room. This can be opted out of, or, you can use an ad blocker on your browser. I don't collect or sell your data.
Information stored by Acrobid is encrypted at rest, and encrypted in transit by HTTPS/TLS. The only data stored is your bids, and that data is tagged for automatic deletion. I'm happy to provide more information offline.
