He might be "Added To First Class Standby List". When I interviewed at XJT, I was added to the FC standby list and actually got it. Still positive space... you're just the last to get FC after the last min pax, upgradeable elites and other upgrades.

I know CAL has a separate "Must Ride" Category, no clue about Delta.
