I input my schedule then it automatically logs what I actually fly, the tail number, night time, etc. I have to indicate if I was PF or PM so it will properly log landings and manually add instrument time or approaches if those apply.

It takes a few minutes to import my line, after that unless I get cancelled or rerouted almost everything happens automatically. I find the annual expense (~$100) worth it.

I use Logten for the past 10+ years. With the current update, I can refesh Flica / FC View after the day is over, then send it to Logten, once there, I can select If it was my landing. It imports acutal times and tail number.

Once the day is over, I just refresh Flica / FC view and send the data to the Logbook. I can take a 5 leg day and import it with acutal times, tail number, airport. All I have to do is select which flight I made the landing. All that takes less than 10 seconds to import a whole day of flying.

I used to use Logbook Pro, but switched to LogTen several years ago.

Pros for Logbook Pro:
- not a subscription model (at least when I used it last, that may have changed)
- more flexibility in building complex currencies

Pros for LogTen:
- much better support (Logbook Pro used to have great support, but not so much anymore)
- Desktop, iPhone, and iPad versions that automatically sync. This was why I switched a few years ago.
- much better user interface

- better built in reports, and if you’re technical you can create your own (I wish this was easier, but it’s basically HTML with some custom markup code.)
- If you log your Out and In times it automatically figures out block time and night time based on time zone. Easy to configure to automatically fill in various fields
- Has preset configs for different flight roles (e.g. CFI, 121 CA or FO, etc) which you can then tweak for your own needs including custom fields.

if I wasn’t flying for a living I might reconsider paying the LogTen subscription. As it is, the annual fee is worth it to me.
