Quote: You don't say? 50%??? I would love to see the numbers.
Not defending our current rates, and the fact that we just started to negotiate new ones.

You have to look at more than hourly rate. People forget they make 2-3% more 401k, don’t have to pay for meals on the road, and get profit sharing of 16%. A Delta, UAL, or AAL pilot may have pay rates 30-40% better but when you look at the entire package they are roughly 50% ahead of us for a given seat. Not to mention widebody flying.

The ugly truth is most legacy FO’s are smoking our captains on total compensation. If you have friends at UAL, DAL, or AAL just ask to compare W2’s for a little perspective.

Quote: Daniel Shurz being gone is really starting to materialize into significant changes.

I suspect this is what Biffle wanted and Daniel couldn't deliver it.
Shurz said we were going back to LAX in spring 2024 last in spring in recurrent.

Delta’s 2023 PS was 10.3%. 401k DC is now 17% for 2024

350$/hr average rate.
350times 1.17=409.5
409.5*1.105= $451.68

270*1.15=310.5

451.68/310.5= 1.4547 or 45.47% higher rate.

But if you did this for every rate where we diverge from the other legacy rates is the lower time less than 7 years. We are probably closer to 50% less per hour maybe more for some years. It does seem accurate to say 50% imo.

Only correction, PS isn’t paid on 401k DC. 350 x 1.275 = $446.25. (But it’s only a $5/hr difference from your numbers)
