"What does intention mean? From the FCIF"

I think it means that later they can say "We didn't intend to send you away for 3 months over Christmas and New Years, BUT since nobody bid the domicile, we have too."

Yah, I thought the same thing when it first came to what's left of my mind.

But, if that is what's written into the LOA. Is that what we need?

Quote: Take it or leave it! I mean...oops....unless its 85% against. Okay--here's the deal. One month max. NOW! Take that or leave it!

Gotta love the power of communication!
I say we call the one month deal the Albie Exception unless someone had another name.

BTW -- Hope mine is a 4wk bid month!!

I'll tell you this much, an FCIF is not a contract in writing! Not changing my vote for the other shortcomings. One month is one month too much!

Voted NO, and not changing without a changed LOA.

This should be a wake up call to all pilot's at FedEx. THE COMPANY NEEDS THESE FDAs AND ARE WILLING TO NEGOTIATE!!!! .The future success of FedEx lies in China and Europe. That is where the growth is and the margins are the highest. FedEx does not want to trust the future with foreign contractors. Rumors are eventually, HKG could be as big as ANC. Do we want live in substandard living conditions? This is the time to negotiate. Obviously, the NEC just "mailed this one in." Send the NEC back to do it right. We are not asking for much (actually don't know exaclty what we asked for in the beginning), just the "standard" COLA established by the government. I mean we aren't asking for the move packages given to the top executives or even the lower level managers. The voting has been on for one day, and the company already is trying to change the LOA to get the 50.001% needed to pass. All to save a few million dollars in something that is probably going to generate billions. The "we will negotiate it later" does not cut it. IT NEVER WORKS THAT WAY..... WE ARE NOT BEING GREEDY BY ASKING FOR THE STANDARD COLA.

Can you alter the tracks? For an age 60 train derailment? At least until November?

I agree with you. If that's what the FCIF actually meant, (that the company would send to the union, an amendment to the LOA, stating that it was their INTENTION to only inverse pilots for a maximum of one month in the new FDAs under the STV provision), than it is of no value and we should not modify our votes. Hopefully, what the Company means is that they will send an amendment that actually becomes part of the LOA, stating that they will only inverse pilots for a maximum of one month.

For those who have already done their civic duty and voted, regardless of how you voted, you can re-enter the voting system and cast a new vote, that will replace the one you previously made. The only vote that will count is your last vote prior to the close of voting.

One positive thing about these goings-on is that at least the Company is paying attention to the "squeaky-wheels" that have inhabited this bbs. As well, I'm sure the union is also paying attention and doing their best to communicate to the Company, our concerns, even if they're not doing that well communicating to their members.
