New FCIF regarding 1 month STV max.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that what a bunch of us had wanted them to do (just do a pen and ink change)? Now that they've done that, are we really *****ing about that too? I've just about given up on you guys. I suppose that if they upped the housing allowance and included $20K per child, for education, but did it as a pen and ink change, that some of us would still complain. How sad.
"couldn't pen and ink it...it would take to long to change any wording in the LOA...this is as good as it will get...no leverage...STV will GO WAY SENIOR..."ect, ect.
When these guys retire at 65 they will do great working at a car dealership.

JJ,
Well, they might should have done this prior to voting. Too late for most of us here. Not *****in, but it might have effected some of the votes already cast.
I still think it is a very cheap agreement. If they wanted to base guys in lower cost areas, the LOA might be sufficient. In CDG and HKG, it is a low ball offer.
What would seal the deal for me:
1. No STV. They can man on volunteers and reserves.
2. Up the payment to a still cheap 4K for "enhanced" and 3 year moves.
3. Up the weight on the "enhanced" package to 4K.
Would I would like:
1. Tuition money, cap it to 10K/family.
2. 5k/month.
Anyway, they should have put the FCIF out last week. I never considered JL's notes to be official in regards to STV. I can't remember how he termed it (standard term for inversing), but it still left doubt to me. Maximum or standard? We have an FCIF signed by the VP, it sounds like a legal deal to me. I have no problems with the pen and ink change (know you are past Air Force).....

Please tell me you're not changing your votes based on this!
FedEx is the master of this kind of crap! They have historically had a habit of taking away a dollar. The pilots have a fit. They give back 50 cents. And, we go YIPEE!!! We won!!
Think about the entire LOA, guys.

Did anyone notice the suspence date on the FCIF? It is 8/11/07! So after that date they can say "well we intended yada yada yada" Unless reissued it holds no merit! These people know how to play the word games and influence a vote

What does intention mean? From the FCIF:
Hopefully we are all aware of the LOA voting that began yesterday. There
have been some communications on the intention of the Company to only inverse pilots for a maximum of one month in the new FDAs under the STV provision. The Company is sending an official notice to ALPA stating
this as part of the LOA.
Seriously, I'm no lawyer(thank God). But, does that mean they don't have the ability or right to inverse pilots for more than one month?

Busboy ... you frequently make some good points here but that's starting to sound like the "lunatic fringe."
