Just a few questions...just put my app in to many regionals including Pinnacle. Currently live in memphis and I am hoping Pinnacle works out for me. how long, if any, before i could get MEM as domicile? how long reserve? How hard of a commute would it be from the DFW area? (thinking of moving back there in 6 months to a year) Thanks for any help

you should be able to hold memphis right out of training. the only base that is tough to get into right now is msp. reserve will be 3-5 months. commute from dfw isn't to bad. i know a flight attendant who does it and she has no problems between our 3 flights and americans 3 or 4.

Do yourself and I a favor. Do not come to Pinnacle until the pilots get a good contract. The current contract sucks! The less people that come here the sooner a contract will come.

You'll probably be able to hold Memphis right away. I just finished OE at Pinnacle and got the MEM domicile straight out of training.

How long do you wait to find out your domecile?

Oh yeah, things may be rough but try working for a living or being unemployed.....Tough choice.

Don't commute. Especially at Pinnacle. I did the DFW-MEM commute for 6 months. If one flight cancels it gets ugly. A lot of FedEx guys do that commute on AA also which also makes it tough with limited jumpseat agreements. If you don't mind getting to your crashpad around 1AM for 5AM reserve because you had to ride FedEx instead of AA then go for it. Commuting anywhere is miserable.

Living in base is so worth it. So if you want to move back to DFW come to Eagle. I bailed on Pinnacle because I love where I live and the woman and I didn't want to move to Memphis. Best of luck with your decision.

While I agree with you the problem we face is that for most people that are wanting to come to a regional the choices are now very slim... And we are hiring...

But you get to fly the "Nine"! How cool is that!

Almost as cool as working for a living!

Everytime that I have ever seen you make a post on here it is bashing Pinnacle. I don't see why if you hate it so much then just get out. Im sure it is not that hard to and then everyone wont have to read all the negatives you have to say. Sure things are not so well at Pinnacle with the contract issues, then again not every regional is safe from our economy, pilot groups, etc. But come on man...

Thanks for all the info from the other guys, as well. I am thinking of eagle too since I could live in DFW without the commute. I have gotten to know many Pinnacle pilots and have friends that work there and absolutely love it.
