United Pilots: Glenn Tilton's Excessive Pay Package Must Go

I didn't realize Tilton made so much compared to other airline CEO's. It's amazing the board would reward incompetence so well. Maybe I should go to my employer, proclaim that I want to ruin the company, and demand a huge pay package for doing so.

Part of the problem is that these guys all sit on multiple boards so it's a you scratch my back type of club.

For those (like me) who prefer not to waste unnecessary time:

According to UALPA: $10.3 million, "Highest in the industry."

Although I thought Richard Anderson made $11 million for 8 months' work last year.

At least RA is doing something that could be perceived as profitable.

Gary Kelly also has received over $5m in gifts this year and counting. While still under Tiltons he is paid better then most think.

Exactly. If these guys can run an airline and have it be profitable, give em 11 million bucks. If they can't make it turn a profit, they should be fired. I actually think CEO pay should be tied to non-managegment payroll. They should get the average non-management salary plus 20%. Then if they can make the company profitable there should be a bonus plan that is similar to profit sharing for them.

Yeah right because the other side is so much better.

Check out the contributions link and you'll see BOTH parties got millions of dollars of contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac - in fact look at the the top 3 "workers' party" spenders. So yes, you can thank BOTH parties for the crisis.
