Quote: by the way, when's the last time you actually saw tarmac? let alone stood on it on a sunny day? Tarmac. although, if you've been to wick, caithness lately, my apologies.
Quote: Uhhhhhh.......Did you just say "Tarmac"?

Ok OK guys, you all got me...LOL just a slang term I still use today, guess thats why the rampers all think I'm wierd, I still call them "Tarmac-ers"...

Pilot hat??? Oh yeah... I remember that useless piece of an addendum to the uniform until hotels removed ashtrays from the room. Now I have a place to put my change, keys, ID, and other items so they will not scatter about. I know… I know… the hat makes one look professional.

Well to those of you who believe in the philosophy… it’s better to look good than fly good, and you look marvelous… I’m sure you look marvelous.

On the other side of the pond, don’t don the bloody things. And you what? We run a pretty safe operation over here without the damn things.

The proof is in the contract, pal. It is nearly impossible for them to fire me. How about you?

Stop fretting about irrelevant crap like the uniform and worry more about your professional conduct in the cockpit. Iron your damn shirt and wear a clean one once in a while, also maybe lose the dockers and the "skinny ties" and chances are no one will give you any grief.

Good to know ASA is focusing on the important things like where to buy your uniform pants (bringing up congress' focus on professionalism--yes THIS is what congress was talking about...uniforms...) and completely ignoring the actual issues like reduced rest and fatigue.
