I think there are advantages and disadvantages no matter what airplane you get! I wonder how they decide who gets EMB120 v. B1900. It might just be random... They asked me during my interview which one I wanted, and I answered honestly that I would like flying either one. I'm sure the June class will only be B1900 though so I'm sure that's what I'm getting!

Yeah, they did the same thing for me with the choice... I did say the 1900 - only because my two friends fly them over here so they can help, and I have maintenance experience on the pt6 as well..... so it makes sense... but yes, either or would be fine of course!

They didn't ask me at all. I'll take whatever regardless, but I would rather be on the 1900.

Quote: Upgrade and then go where? I don't think you realize the situation around the industry. There are probably 10,000 airline CAs right now willing to move on from their RJ, and that's just Pt121! I wonder how many Fedex or Southwest pilot sons and daughters are still waiting for their class date?? The fact of the matter is expect to stay at Lakes for years. There is such a backlog of qualified pilots no one will be going anywhere for a while. There are still more furloughs happening, downsizing etc Nothing against GL at all but now is not the time to be chasing upgrades but to look for a place where you can actually hang your hat for more than a few years.
2012 nuff said son!
