The only commute job out there are NAS Saudia, and Deer Air China!

Royal Jordanian will be hiring A320 Capt's only 16 total. Embraer, A310, 340 eventually.

Emirates is hiring F/O's

Air Arabia; Capt's and F/O's on Morroco, Egypt and UAE A320 experience required.

Air China, China Cargo Airlines, ANA, KAL, Vietnam etc. are all hiring and all have commuting contracts. Yangtze River supposedly has a commuting contract.

Qatar and Etihad are hiring in the Middle East, as well as Fly Dubai.

Just to add to the list above!

How about some quicktake updates for the foreign carrier profiles?

Any hope for overseas jobs for someone with only a boatload of RJ FO time(no type ratings)?

Air Japan/Post Express hires expats onto 767's on contract terms. I have 2 friends there on contract and they are happy. I believe this would be the best contract. Unfortunately ANA Mainline does not hire expats, only Japanese nationals.

KAL is a good contract gig as a Captain. NOT as an FO.

Cathay (permanent employment) is only hiring cadets until 2011.

Don't know much about the mainland Chinese carriers. I have heard the Air China skipper gig on the A330 is pretty good on a foreign base. This is also a contract gig... ie. not permanent employment.

Wishing those out of work the best of luck. Times are not great for aviators.

Does anyone have an idea of the QOL at Deer Air?

It's a Hainan Airlines group company and as such I've been hearing that there may be some issues with their punitive culture against QAR exceedances. Make sure you look into that. JotaJota on Pprune seems to be very knowledgeable about the Hainan group airlines.

The terms of the contract that just came out from Wasinc seem to be reasonable. I'd personally choose the Guangzhou base over Xian for a number of reasons. One, Guangzhou has more international flights to get out of town on days off. Two, there are many more expats in Guangzhou than in Xian so you'll have people to hang out with when culture shock hits. Three, Guangzhou has a better year round climate ( you really need to spend some winter days in an interior Chinese city to understand what I mean. Home heating, store heating, and restaurant heating just don't exist like you're used to in the western world.). Four, it's close to Hong Kong and Macau so you can make quick decompression/shopping trips.
